Setzer Architects
is a full service architectural firm established in Red Wing,
Minnesota in 1988. Setzer Architects recognizes that each
client’s program is unique and strives to provide the level of
service appropriate to each project to meet the client’s
functional and aesthetic goals. From preliminary programming
and design through the completion of construction, we can do
the job.
Design, drafting of construction documents, soliciting
construction bids, and monitoring construction as well as
coordinating all necessary engineering consultants, are all
services we provide. |

Our work has included small and medium size projects of many
different types: office, recreational, residential,
industrial, institutional, etc. There have been many additions
and renovations as well as entirely new construction.
Projects done by the firm have won numerous local awards as
well as two awards from the Preservation Alliance of
Minnesota.
Firm Principal Steven Setzer lives in Red Wing. He holds
Bachelor's degrees in Architecture from the University of
Minnesota and Liberal Arts from the University of Notre Dame. Setzer has been practicing
architecture since 1978 and became a registered architect in
1982. He worked for several architectural firms in the Twin
Cities area and later in Rochester, before establishing his
own firm. He is registered in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Mr. Setzer is the former chairman of the Red Wing Heritage
Preservation Commission. He also served for nine years on the
Board of Directors for the Southeastern Minnesota Barrier-Free
Housing Corporation, and is currently on the Board of
Directors of the YMCA Y-Pals program. He is a member of the
American Institute of Architects. |
